What are/were your plans after school/tafe/university? After school I was actually going to do nursing, but had a year off and worked on a farm in Canada and then decided the Ag field was for me

What is your favourite part of your job? Being with cattle and people, helping people and the industry I love
What are your interests? Cattle, farm, shows, travel, education……. lots!!
Best experience in agriculture? I have been able to travel a lot, meet lots of great people and its just a great industry – its in my blood!
Worst experience in agriculture? On the odd occasion I have had the struggle with earning respect because I am a female
What do you think will be the biggest challenges of the agricultural industry in the future? There are many, but top of mind are Education, food security and feeding the world
Why do you think less people are becoming involved in agriculture? Because they are misinformed or simply not informed about what the industry does, its importance and the opportunities it can offer.
What advice do you have for people thinking about getting into agriculture? It is a very rewarding sector and its a sector of great opportunity – go for it!!
How important do you think an agricultural background is to become involved in the industry? Not at all there are many positions required in ag – where a background is not important – in many cases we need to work with new people with fresh ideas and a fresh outlook on our industry
